    Gisele is a former Captain in the US Air Force nurse Corps. She returned to Maine and has worked at various hospitals in the central Maine area.  For the past 8 years she has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient wound care settings providing care and oversite to the wound and ostomy department at Central Maine Health 

    Gisele started her wound care journey after transitioning from an ICU nurse to the lymphedema therapy program in outpatient therapy services.  She became a nationally certified lymphedema therapist and practiced for 8 years before joining an oncology department as a new NP.  She attended R.B. Turnbull, Jr. MD School of WOC Nursing Education in Cleveland in 2012 and has a practicing WOC NP since that time.

    Michele Deppisch, PT, CWS, FACCWS

    Michele is a self-employed wound care consultant.  She is a Physical Therapist and holds certifications as a clinical wound specialist from the American Board of Wound Management and as a Fellow in the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.  Her expertise and dedication extend to various leadership roles within NPIAP, where she currently serves as President-Elect on the Board of Directors. Over the past 11 years she has contributed to multiple committees, including the Education Committee, Research Committee, Standards Committee, and Emerging Leaders Program. Her commitment to advancing wound care is further exemplified by her role as Vice Chair of the Support Surface Standards Initiative (S3I) committee.  Michele has authored numerous resources for NPIAP most notably the Root Cause Analysis/OR Toolkit 3.0 and published works for S3I on the clinical relevance of support surface tests.

    Katie is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia.  She attended the WICKS WOCN program in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Has been a nurse for 30+ years and a WOC nurse for over 18. 
    She is currently employed by Medline Industries as the Southeast Regional Clinical Solutions Manager.  Katie is a published author in the JWOCN.  Proud past chair of Woundstock, the St. Louis affiliate of the WOC nurses annual conference, having educated more than 1500 community nurses in quality wound, ostomy and continence care.  She is past President of the St. Louis Regional affiliate of the WOCN society and was a speaker at the 2019 National WOCN conference in Nashville.  She was named Medline Skin Health Clinical Specialist in both 2020 and 2021.    
    Katie has 3 adult children and has two grandchildren and lives in St. Louis, Missouri
